Homicide Advocate Rapid Response Team
Through our years of working with families of homicide victims, we learned that these families were not getting the support they needed after the crime. The VAC formed HARRT to help the families through the tragedy of losing a loved one to a homicide or suicide. Law enforcement are being encouraged to call the team when a homicide or suicide occurs so we can immediately begin providing crisis intervention to the families. We also offer a Loved Ones of Homicide Support Group for those people needing further assistance beyond crisis intervention.
Systems Advocacy
The VAC works with law enforcement, community agencies, media and other groups to share information and improve services for victims and their families.
